The Play Beyond the Game Award is your chance to be recognized for embodying what truly matters—character, leadership, gratitude, and inclusivity. Whether you’re nominating yourself or someone you know, this award celebrates athletes who inspire others on and off the field.

What Do Awardees Receive?

Up to five athletes each season will be honored with:

  • A complimentary season of hockey with Beyond Sticks.

  • Assistance with field hockey equipment to help them grow and thrive in the game.

Additionally, awardees will be interviewed during the season to share their stories, with the potential to be featured on our website or social media.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to athletes in 1st through 12th grade and are awarded on a rolling basis each season—fall, winter, spring, and summer.

Special consideration is given to applicants from:

• Schools with emerging field hockey programs.

• Communities that are underrepresented in our current programs.

Whether you’re a parent, coach, teacher, neighbor, or athlete yourself, we encourage you to submit a nomination.

A Play Beyond the Game athlete is more than just a teammate—they are:
